Cooperation with the OTH Amberg-Weiden
Together with Mayor Sebastian Hartl, Managing Director Bastian Braun and Project Manager Simon Kirchner welcomed master's students from OTH Amberg-Weiden who were interested in the project. The municipality of Luhe-Wildenau is one of the winners of the statewide idea competition „Kommunal? Digital!“. A total of over 75 projects applied. The winners were subsequently chosen by a jury chaired by Digital Minister Judith Gerlach, which comprised representatives of the municipal umbrella organizations and a representative from the business community.
Municipal depots require various machines to fulfill their extensive tasks. Some of these machines are highly specialized, expensive to purchase and maintain, and are often only needed a few days a year. Municipalities will be able to offer their machines and vehicles to other municipalities for rent via an online platform.
Thanks to the web-based platform, devices and conditions can be displayed clearly. Booking, issuing, returning, and billing of devices are done paperlessly. The goal is to achieve resource savings and better utilization of existing machines.
The students' task is to conduct a market analysis, define a project name, research and evaluate comparable applications, and create a plan for the development of application and process structures. This also includes examining the legal requirements that must be met.
