Cybersecurity is one of the central topics of the digital future. It is therefore all the more important to actively promote knowledge, practical experience, and exchange between companies, universities, and young IT talents.

VALEO IT Services International GmbH was recently part of ZeroDayTM, a cybersecurity event in cooperation with the West University of Timișoara (UVT). The event brought together students, IT professionals, and cybersecurity enthusiasts to experience current IT security topics hands-on and to jointly develop new perspectives.

Exchange between science and practice

ZeroDayTM offered participants a platform to engage with real-world cybersecurity challenges. The focus was on practical insights, technical expert contributions, live challenges, and direct exchange between academic knowledge and industry experience.

Viorel Vintan brought VALEO IT's technical expertise to an expert panel on the topic „AWS Secure Architecture“ One focus was on secure and scalable cloud architectures, typical challenges, and best practices for modern AWS environments.

Also Constantin Schaefer was part of the event and supported the awards ceremony for the Capture the Flag Competition, where participants could demonstrate their cybersecurity skills in practical tasks.

Cybersecurity to Participate In

A special highlight was the Capture the Flag Competition. Participants were able to apply their knowledge directly and demonstrate how cybersecurity works in practice through various tasks. This included identifying security vulnerabilities, finding hidden clues, analyzing digital footprints, and developing solutions as a team.

Thus, IT security was not only explained but also actively made tangible.
