Cooperation with OTH Amberg-Weiden
As VALEO IT Services International GmbH We rely on digital innovation. In collaboration with OTH Weiden-Amberg, we are researching new technologies and market trends in the IT service delivery sector. The research project “AI-supported automation in the Service Desk” is already the fifth successful cooperation between VALEO IT Services International GmbH and OTH Weiden-Amberg.
Following initial discussions with the Technical University in March 2025, the kickoff meeting with the student group took place at our premises on Thursday, April 3, 2025. The project will run until the summer of 2025.
What is the goal of the project?
This project is mainly about fact-based answering of the following questions:
- How can AI make IT support more efficient?
- How can processes be automated using AI?
- How can service quality be improved?
What are the core contents of the project?
Essentially, it's about a market analysis with a focus on “AI in the Service Desk Sector.” The following aspects will be particularly considered within the study project:
- What technologies dominate AI-powered service delivery?
- Where is the market headed in AI-powered end-user support?
- What level of acceptance do open-source/cloud-based systems and AI solutions generally enjoy?
- Are there differences across various industries in the demand for using AI solutions?

The results of the study project support the decision-making for IT projects in the operational area of VALEO IT Services International GmbH. At the same time, we enable a practical work environment and insight into operations for students.
