What is meant by IoT?

„IoT“ stands for Internet of Things. The Internet of Things refers to a concept where physical objects and devices are interconnected and can exchange data over the internet without human intervention. These objects are equipped with sensors, actuators, software, and network connections that enable them to collect, analyze, and exchange information.

The main goal of IoT is to create intelligent, connected environments where objects can communicate with each other to enable more efficient processes, better decision-making, and new use cases.

The IoT has the potential to change many areas of our lives by enabling greater connectivity, automation, and data-driven decision-making. It opens up new opportunities for innovation and increased efficiency in various industries.

What is SaaS?

"SaaS" stands for "Software as a Service." It is a model in information technology where software applications are delivered over the internet. Unlike the traditional method of purchasing, downloading, and installing software on individual computers or servers, with the SaaS model, the software is hosted on central servers and made available to users over the internet.

Well-known examples of SaaS applications include Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Dropbox, and many others. SaaS allows businesses and individuals to access powerful software without the cost and complexity of deploying and maintaining their own infrastructure.
