In exceptional cases, your personal data may also be collected from other sources in certain situations. This includes requests for relevant information from credit bureaus on a case-by-case basis, particularly regarding creditworthiness and credit behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VALEO IT Services International GmbH uses products from Microsoft Corporation, among others, in its IT environment. The following data categories may be processed in the course of using the IT systems:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Functional data (data absolutely necessary for service provision)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Content data (substantive data processed in the context of services)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diagnosis &amp; Log Data (technically logged data required for maintenance, troubleshooting, and occasional further development)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These data categories are collected directly from you systemically. We will be happy to provide you with further information on data processing in specific IT systems upon request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the scope of our online meetings using Microsoft Teams, we process the following personal data:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Communication data (e.g., your email address if you provide it personally)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log files, protocol data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Metadata (e.g., IP address, time of participation, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Profile data (e.g., your username, if you provide it voluntarily)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would like to point out that further data processing, for example in connection with calling up the MS Teams website and\/or installing the MS Teams app, does not lie within our responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microsoft reserves the right to process customer data for its own business purposes. We have no influence over these data processing activities by Microsoft. To the extent that Microsoft Teams processes personal data in connection with its business purposes, Microsoft is an independent controller for these data processing activities and is thus responsible for compliance with all applicable data protection regulations. If you require information about Microsoft's processing, please refer to Microsoft's relevant statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purposes and legal bases of data processing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In processing your personal data, the provisions of the GDPR, the BDSG, and other relevant legal provisions are always complied with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your personal data will be processed exclusively for the performance of pre-contractual measures (e.g., for the creation of offers for products or services) and for the fulfillment of contractual obligations (e.g., for the performance of our services, the supplier contract, or for order\/transaction\/payment processing) (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) or if there is a legal obligation to process (e.g., due to tax regulations) (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR). Personal data was originally collected for these purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A legal basis for data protection can, of course, also represent your consent to data processing (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Before granting consent, we will inform you about the purpose of data processing and about your right to withdraw consent according to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. Should the consent also relate to the processing of special categories of personal data according to Art. 9 GDPR, we will explicitly point this out to you in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your personal data will only be processed for the detection of criminal offenses under the conditions of Article 10 of the GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data retention period<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your data will be deleted by us once it is no longer required for the aforementioned purposes or once you have revoked your consent. Data will only be retained beyond the term of the contractual relationship in cases where we are obligated or entitled to do so.<em>. <\/em>Regulations that oblige us to retain records can be found, for example, in the German Commercial Code (HGB) or the German Fiscal Code (AO). This can result in a retention period of up to ten years. In addition, statutory limitation periods must be observed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data recipients\/Categories of recipients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our company, we ensure that only those departments and individuals who require your data to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations receive it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In certain cases, service providers support our specialized departments in fulfilling their tasks. The necessary data protection agreements have been concluded with all service providers. In the following categories: credit checks, factoring, and IT service providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, in legally required cases, we are obligated to transmit certain information to public authorities, such as: tax authorities, law enforcement agencies, and customs authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Third-country transfer\/Intention to transfer to a third country<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Data transmission to third countries (outside the European Union or the European Economic Area) will only take place if it is necessary for the performance of the contract or supplier relationship, or if it is legally required, or if you have given us your consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not currently transfer your personal data to any service providers or affiliated companies outside the European Economic Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When selecting service providers, an effort is made to use European service providers (service providers within the European Economic Area). However, this is not always possible \u2013 for example, in the case of Microsoft. If service providers from third countries are used, the most restrictive configuration possible is ensured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(In Microsoft's case, for example, data processing is agreed upon in Europe. In addition, the configuration is restricted by IT experts, and individual processing operations are coordinated with the data protection officer.)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rights of the data subjects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your rights as a data subject are regulated in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18 GDPR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To assert these rights, please contact: <a href=\"mailto:datenschutz@valeo-it.com\">datenschutz@valeo-it.com<\/a>. The same applies if you have questions about data processing at our company or wish to withdraw a granted consent. Furthermore, you can lodge a complaint about data processing with a data protection supervisory authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We process your data to safeguard legitimate interests, you can object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this <\/strong><strong>This also applies to profiling based on these provisions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We will then no longer process your personal data unless we can prove compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object without giving any reason; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. <\/strong><strong>If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obligation to provide the data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the establishment or processing of a contractual relationship, you are obligated to provide certain personal data. This is necessary for the initiation, execution, and termination of the contractual relationship and the fulfillment of associated contractual and legal obligations.
