Cooperation with the OTH Weiden-Amberg
As VALEO IT Services International GmbH we focus on digital innovation. In collaboration with OTH Weiden-Amberg, we are researching new technologies and market trends in the field of IT service provision. The research project "AI-supported automation in the service desk" is already the fifth successful cooperation between VALEO IT Services International GmbH and OTH Weiden-Amberg.
After initial discussions with the Technical University in March 2025, the kick-off with the student group took place in our building on Thursday, April 3, 2025. The project will run until summer 2025.
What is the aim of the project?
This project is primarily concerned with providing fact-based answers to the following questions:
- How can AI make IT support more efficient?
- How can processes be automated with the help of AI?
- How can service quality be improved?
What is the core content of the project?
Essentially, it is a market analysis with a focus on "AI in the service desk". The following aspects are particularly considered within the study project:
- Which technologies dominate AI-supported service provision?
- Where is the market heading in the area of AI-supported end user support?
- What is the overall acceptance of open source/cloud-based systems and AI solutions?
- Are there differences in the need for the use of AI solutions in different industries?

The results of the study project support the decision-making process for IT projects in the operational area of VALEO IT Services International GmbH. At the same time, we provide students with a practical working environment and insight into the company.
